BY PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM DOULA BRIGHT BEGINNINGS, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

ELLE TENS MACHINE HIRE:

Rental Fee:

• The hire cost for the Elle TENS 2 machine is $55 for a 4-week period, or $65 for a 6-week period, in addition to a $50 deposit.
• The hire cost for the Elle TENS Plus machine is $65 for a 4-week period, or $75 for a 6-week period, in addition to a $50 deposit.
• The hire cost includes the non-refundable electrode pads, even if unused or unopened.
• The machine comes with electrode pads, lead wires, and batteries required for its use.

Machine Care and Responsibility:

• It is essential to read and follow all provided instructions for the Elle TENS machine.
• You must use the Elle TENS machine carefully and properly, following all instructions provided.
• Any loss, damage, theft, or misuse of the machine will result in the forfeiture of your $50 deposit.
• The machine should not be used before 37 weeks of pregnancy, over the abdomen or head, near water, or in the presence of children.
• If you have a pacemaker, heart disease, or epilepsy, it is not recommended to use the Elle TENS machine.
• Consult your registered care provider to ensure the safe use of the Elle TENS machine.
• You should only use the Elle TENS machine under the guidance of your care provider.
• Take the time to familiarise yourself with the Elle TENS machine and feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Return of the Machine:

• All hired items must be returned to the designated address unless alternative arrangements are made.
• The hired items must be returned by the end of the agreed hire period.
• Late returns may incur additional hire costs of $10 per week.
• All hired items should be returned in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear and used electrodes.

Liability and Indemnity:

• The owner shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the hired items during the hire period.
• The hirer shall indemnify and hold the owner harmless from any claims, liabilities, costs, or expenses incurred as a result of the hirer's use or misuse of the machine.

Cancellation:

• Once the hired items are collected, no refunds will be provided, regardless of usage.
• If you notify us before 37 weeks, we may refund the hire fee, minus a $10 administration fee.
• Hired items that are not used during the hire period are non-refundable.

By hiring an Elle TENS machine, you confirm that you have reviewed and agreed to these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in additional charges or legal action.

BIRTH SLING HIRE:

Rental Fee:

• The hire cost for the Birth Sling is $50 for a 4-week period, or $60 for a 6-week period, in addition to a $50 deposit.
• The sling comes with two arms slings, door anchor, beam or branch anchor.

Care and Responsibility:

• It is essential to read and follow all provided instructions for the Birth Sling
• You must use the Birth Sling carefully and properly, following all instructions provided.
• Any loss, damage, theft, or misuse of the Birth Sling will result in the forfeiture of your $50 deposit.
• The Birth Sling should not be used as a swing and that the persons full weight should not leave the ground.  
• The Birth Sling should not be used if you have Ruptured membranes without engagement of fetal head, Unstable blood pressure, balance and/or mentation, any condition requiring bedrest.  
• It is recommended that anyone using The Birth Sling must have a steady gait, able to call for assistance if needed, be able to support themselves without assistance.
• Consult your registered care provider to ensure the safe use of the Birth Sling
• You should only use the Birth Sling machine under the guidance of your care provider.
• Take the time to familiarise yourself with the Birth Sling and feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Return of the Sling:

• All hired items must be returned to the designated address unless alternative arrangements are made.

 BIRTH POOL PACKAGES HIRE:

 Doula Bright Beginnings serves as the intermediary for the rental of birth pools from Earthy Birth, adhering to Earthy Birth's terms and conditions. Upon placing an order with us, we, in turn, facilitate the order with Earthy Birth. 

Hire Period:
All hire items available from Earthy Birth have a six week hire period, not including postage. They will do their best to ensure your hire items arrive to you by the date chosen as the start of your six weeks, but please allow a few days’ grace for the postage system and unexpected delays.

If you’re wanting to extend your hire period (for example if your baby is very overdue), please contact us as soon as possible. Extension will be granted based on availability and will incur an extra fee of $50 per week or part thereof.

The items must be return posted within six weeks of the beginning of the hire term unless an extension has been arranged. The hirer must keep their tracking number from Australia Post. It is recommended to reuse the same packaging that the hire items were received in. If this was damaged or disposed of, it is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure the items are adequately packaged for postage.

Deposit:
Upon booking hire items, a refundable security deposit of is required and will be added to your total at checkout. This deposit will be 50% of the value of the total, on top of the total. Upon return of your items in their original condition or with a reasonable amount of wear, your deposit will be refunded within two weeks. If the items are damaged the deposit will not be refunded.

Payment and Refunds:
All hire fees are non-refundable regardless of if the equipment was used or not. A refund or replacement will be granted if an item is defective.

Postage to the hirer is included at checkout, however return postage is the hirer’s expense.

Damage:
Please inspect all hire products, inflate the pool as soon as it is received to check for air leakage or other damage, and report any damage or faults immediately to Doula Bright Beginnings with photo evidence. We will address this with Earthy Birth & on a case-by-case basis and offer an appropriate solution.
If any items are damaged due to misuse or not following instructions, the hirer will be required to pay to replace the damaged item or items.

Proper Usage:
Birth pools and liners – Birth pools should only be used according to Earthy Birth’s Birth Pool Instructions and MUST be used with a liner. All sharp items, electrical items and pets must be kept away from the birth pool at all times. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult when near the pool. The pool should not be overfilled or filled with water that is above the recommended temperature. Damage to property or people due to misuse is the responsibility of the hirer.

Other Hire Items – All other items available for hire should be used only in a safe and responsible way and according to their instructions. Damage to property or people due to misuse is the responsibility of the hirer.

Liability:
Doula Bright Beginnings & Earthy Birth will not be liable for any damage, injury or death caused by improper use or misuse of the pool or other equipment or as a result of damage to the pool, or as a result of its use in a room that does not structurally support the use of a birthing pool.

It is recommended that all births are attended by a licensed midwife.
Pregnant women suffering from heart disease, high or low blood pressure or other medical conditions should consult their care provider before using a birth pool.

Doula Bright Beginnings & Earthy Birth are not responsible for any adverse outcomes including death or injury that may occur before, during or after labour and birth regardless of who is present. The hirer acknowledges that the safety of everyone who is in or near the birth pool and other hire items at any time, including birthing mothers, unborn babies and newborn babies, is their own responsibility.

PEANUT BALL HIRE

Rental Fee:

• The hire cost for the Peanut Ball is $20 for a 4-week period, or $25 for a 6-week period, in addition to a $20 deposit.
• The ball comes with foot pump, two air plugs, and a plug remover.

Care and Responsibility:

• It is essential to read and follow all provided instructions for the Peanut Ball.
• You must use the Peanut Ball carefully and properly, following all instructions provided.
• Any loss, damage, theft, or misuse of the Peanut Ball will result in the forfeiture of your $20 deposit.
• The Peanut Ball should not be used as a play or exercise ball.
• The Peanut Ball should not be used if you have any medical conditions that contraindicate its use, such as uncontrolled hypertension, recent surgery, or certain musculoskeletal issues.
• It is recommended that anyone using the Peanut Ball must have the ability to support themselves without assistance and be aware of their physical limitations.
• Consult your healthcare provider to ensure the safe use of the Peanut Ball.
• You should only use the Peanut Ball under the guidance of your healthcare provider.
• Take the time to familiarise yourself with the Peanut Ball and feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Return of the Peanut Ball:

• All hired items must be returned to the designated address unless alternative arrangements are made.
• The hired items must be returned by the end of the agreed rental period.
• Late returns may incur additional hire costs of $10 per week.
• All hired items should be returned in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear.

Liability & Indemnity:

• The owner shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the hired items during the hire period.
• The hirer shall indemnify and hold the owner harmless from any claims, liabilities, costs, or expenses incurred as a result of the renter's use or misuse of the Peanut Ball.

• Once the hired items are collected, no refunds will be provided, regardless of usage.
• If you notify us before 37 weeks, we may refund the hire fee, minus a $10 administration fee.
• Hired items that are not used during the hire period are non-refundable.

By renting a Peanut Ball, you confirm that you have reviewed and agreed to these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in additional charges or legal action.

ORDERS AND PAYMENTS

Order Acceptance

All orders placed through our Website are subject to our acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraud.

Pricing

All prices displayed on our Website are in the Australian currency and exclude shipping charges unless otherwise stated.

Payment

Payment for orders must be made through the available payment methods listed on our Website. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information and authorise us to charge the total order amount to the provided payment method.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Care is taken when packing your order to ensure your items are safe when leaving hands. Once your package has left our office Doula Bright Beginnings is not responsible for damages incurred. Please contact Australia Post for more information.

Shipping

We will make reasonable efforts to ship the Products within the estimated timeframes provided. However, delivery times may vary depending on your location and other factors beyond our control.

Risk of Loss

The risk of loss and title for Products pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for any damages or losses incurred during shipping.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Incorrect Items Received 

Care is taken when processing your order for shipment. As much as we try our best, unfortunately mistakes can happen.

Returns

Products must be returned within 14 days of receiving your item, in its original condition, unused with proof of purchase or receipt. 

Refunds

We do not provide refunds if you change your mind, make a wrong selection, or receive an unwanted gift. Refunds will only be issued for returned Products that are faulty or damaged. The refund amount will exclude any shipping charges unless the return is due to our error. You may choose to receive a refund, exchange or credit.
